A new year! A fresh start! This year consider setting intentions for what you want to have happen in this year instead of setting resolutions that go by the wayside before the end of January. Intentions are the motivation for action, a course of action that one intends to follow. the quality of consciousness you bring to an action. Intentions are not goals. Goals suggest an idealistic or long-term purpose, the application of your will to accomplish a physical goal.
Take a moment to picture your ideal holiday season.
What do you see? What does it feel like?
What parts of the season of celebrating would you include–decorating, baking, socializing, singing? What would you do differently from previous years?
The first step to creating a holiday season that are not harried days, is to reflect on holidays past and their stresses and decide how you will do things differently to reduce stress and make more room for joy. This step is actually a clutter clearing step.
